Combinations of Locks for your Security - by Carla Base

If everyone does something, it may be good enough reason not to do it. Think about the types of locks used in the past. People used none, or a simple knob lock. Then out on the market came the chains you could open the door a little bit with. Then the market saw the dead bolt years later. Then came the push button digital locks that were all mechanical and then the ones connected to your alarm system that are Z-wave, open with your iphone locks. There are many types of access control. Workplaces have used methods like the push buttons for years in hospitals and other institutions. Key cards where an employee can enter an area designated by his or her standing per the code embedded into the card allow employees to come and go or check into the workplace or out instead of a punch card method. Now these methods have also trickled down to home owners residences as well. Should you want any of these type access systems, know they are now all available to home owners, and more. Have you ever watched a spy thriller in the past and the agent used his or her eye’s iris to signal a computer that read the unique features of their individual eye? Or maybe it read their fingerprint. These were all truly methods used in high up security clearance areas such as government facilities and top secret research and development buildings. Now the home owner can also use biometrics and enter with a variety of methods or a combination. Think about that fact that you may have a high tech thief, or a total thug with a bat. Brute force can do a lot. We should always prepare for that. Then there is the technician, who knows a bit about alarm systems that are basic national grade and not customized. Everyone across the country has worked for the companies like these and has a store of stickers and signs in their basement from their former job. They know how to hack the systems pretty well and what areas they leave prone that are not included in “kits” offered to customers for a single price. He is not James Bond, but he is dangerous and knowledgeable. He may know where to find your password or key code, how to call your monitoring company and tell them it is only a test. Beware. Then there is the professional thief. He or she enters via the ceiling or other odd ball means and targets something wanted: special jewelry or a collection known to them. Always watch your words at work or outside your home. Never allude to something you own you do not wish to lose. Having an alarm system is like having vitamins. If you don’t use them, they do you no good. Have a combination of locks that prevent the common thug with brute force who is drug crazed and desperate with a baseball bat, as well as the jewel thief who looks like Rodger Moore, Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnin. Likely, it will be someone in between. Whatever your need, we offer key card entry, biometric recognition, (iris, fingerprint) doors that lock automatically when power is off or power is on, digital iphone locking hardware using deadbolts, and many other interesting features. Just ask. We don’t just place an alarm and leave. We secure your entire home. If you need to ask about windows, doors, gates, remotes, locks or recognition entry systems, call us.
